Maggie Lewis has worked in mental health as a psychiatric nurse and psychotherapist in Oxford throughout her career and still retains an active interest.

 

She now works in voluntary capacities as an Area Representative and Administrator for Oxford Neighbourhood Watch and a Parish Councillor. She has a particular interest in revictimization, scam awareness and Violence Against Women and Girls. She is a Domestic Abuse Champion and has attended many training courses (including Suzy Lamplugh Trust) and network meetings. 

 

She has advocated Ask for Angela in regular newsletters and social media community groups, also encouraging others to sign up to Ask for Angela. Safety is a priority and knowledge is power. She is aware that all genders and minorities may feel more vulnerable at night. 

 

She has a strong knowledge base of the communities in Oxford and is passionate about sharing information and helping individuals through community empowerment.
