100% Success in Warrington

As part of the Constabulary’s Operation Banishing initiative to tackle violence against women and girls and protect vulnerable people, plain-clothed officers from the Warrington Town Centre Beat Team, aided by a Council Licensing Officer visited several venues to test how hospitality staff members would react to being asked for Angela on Saturday 22nd February.

 

The test purchase resulted in a 100% success rate. The venues included Gravity Social, Costellos and The Botanist on Time Square.

 

The specially trained officers also joined their uniformed colleagues and worked alongside Warrington Borough Council CCTV operators to tackle any predatory or sexualised anti-social behaviour. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, the officers received positive results.
